What is Messy Magic Moments?
Messy Magic Moments is a sensory and messy play experience designed for children aged 6 months to 6 years. Each week features a new exciting theme with hands-on sensory activities that encourage creativity, imagination, exploration and connection between children and their caregivers.
What age group are the sessions for?
Our regular sessions are designed for children aged 6 months to 6 years.
During school holiday sessions, older siblings are welcome too, making it easier for families with multiple children to attend together.
Do parents need to stay during the session?
Yes. Messy Magic Moments is a parent-supervised play session. Parents and caregivers remain responsible for their children throughout the session and are encouraged to join in the fun.
What do I need to bring?
We recommend bringing:
• A change of clothes (or two if your little one loves getting messy!)
• Swim nappy if required
• Towel
• Water bottle
• Hat and sunscreen
• Any snacks your child may need
• Your sense of adventure!
We provide everything else.
What should my child wear?
Old clothes are best! Our sessions often include water play, sensory bases, potions, mud kitchens, spaghetti, oobleck and other messy activities. We always say: "There’s no such thing as bad weather for messy play, only bad clothes!”
Is everything taste-safe?
Many of our sensory materials are taste-safe and made using food-based ingredients. However, not everything is intended for consumption. If your child has allergies, sensitivities or dietary requirements, please contact us before attending so we can discuss the week’s activities.
Are the sessions messy?
Absolutely! That’s where the magic happens.
The best part? We handle the clean-up.
What happens if it rains?
Sessions run rain, hail or shine.
We utilise the outdoor undercover area at Burnett Heads Community Hall and can move indoors if needed due to weather conditions.
What if my child is sick?
If your child is unwell, please stay home to help protect our little community.
We offer one reschedule per booking when notice is provided before the session starts.
What if I need to cancel?
Bookings are non-refundable.
With at least 24 hours’ notice, bookings can be transferred to another available session.

Are sibling discounts available?
Yes! We offer sibling discounts on both casual bookings and selected session passes.
Do you offer multi-session passes?
Yes.
Our 4 Session Pass offers discounted entry and can be used across any regular Messy Magic Moments sessions.
Are numbers limited?
Yes. To keep sessions relaxed, safe and enjoyable, spaces are limited.
Bookings are essential, and many popular themes book out.
Is the venue fenced and safe?
Yes. Burnett Heads Community Hall provides a safe environment for little explorers, including a fenced outdoor area where children can move freely under parent supervision.
Is this suitable for shy or sensory-sensitive children?
Absolutely.
There is no pressure to participate in every activity. Children are encouraged to explore at their own pace and in a way that feels comfortable for them.

Yes! Every session features a different theme.

Do you cater for family daycare groups?
Yes. Family daycare educators are welcome. Please contact us prior to booking so we can ensure all required documentation is completed.
